The first and most important yachting fair of the season, the Cannes Yachting Festival, formerly called simply The Festival, will take place in Cannes, France, September 9-14, 2014.
With three exceptional locations on the French Riviera, the Vieux Port, the Port Pierre Canto and the Palais des Festivals, Europe’s leading in-water boat show will showcase more than 580 yachts, including 150 world premieres.
With the identity changes, the Cannes Yachting Festival will emphasize elegance, glamor, new horizons and the pleasure of sailing.
“This new identity conserves the very essence of the Festival and confirms its unique place it holds as a major international boat industry event, “ said Sylvie Ernoult, festival manager. Ernoult added that the change was a move by festival owners and organizers to reflect its increasingly international nature.
As a major gathering that brings together the yacht lovers and major industry professionals, the Cannes Yachting Festival gives informed visitors a chance to discover the best luxury ships that the world has to offer in a magical atmosphere amidst the quays and pontoons of its three exhibition areas. Approximately 84% of the 425-plus exhibitors are from outside of France.
In the Vieux Port, visitors can view the world’s finest new motor and sailing yacht models, ranging from 10 to 50 meters in length, along with vendors dedicated to services and equipment. Top European and American brokers will be present in Port Pierre Canto, while the Palais des Festival will showcase the excellence of luxury yacht ownership.
