Azimut Yachts, the super yacht manufacture based in Avigliana, Italy, will premiere the Grande 95RPH, along with her smaller sisters, the Azimut 77S and Azimut 50 Fly, at the 2014 Cannes Yachting Festival in September. “Grande” designates all Azimut models measuring 95 feet or 29 meters in length and larger, although the Grande 95 RPH is just short of that at 93’9.”
As the entry-level model in Azimut’s Grande lineup that tops out with the 120SL, the Grande 95RPH super yacht that will appear at Cannes is the same one that the shipbuilder launched in April. The RPH in the name designates a raised pilothouse configuration. As a semi-custom megayacht, arrangement of space and selection of soft goods may be ordered per buyers’ wishes for subsequent hulls. One feature that is unlikely to change is the forward location of the master stateroom on the main deck, a rarity in a yacht of her LOA. The first Grande 95RPH also have four guest staterooms below decks and three crew cabins. An alternate arrangement for the lower deck replaces two cabins with a television lounge and gaming area.
With styling by Stefano Righini, this megayacht has overall sleek lines and large below-deck ports, typical Azimut features. The flying bridge, measuring a sizeable 646 square feet, features a second helm, which may be also used as a gathering space thanks to its hot tub and a sliding sunroof over a dining area and bar. Another notable feature are the floor-to-ceiling windows in the saloon and dining area.
The Grande 95RPH was built in compliance with MGN 280 regulatory guidelines. With power provided by twin MTU engines, she is expected to cruise at 20 knots and top out at 26½ knots, both at half load.
