The newly launched 38.75m mega yacht Alyssa, built by the Turkish shipyard Tansu, will appear at the 2014 Monaco Yacht Show. With a hull and superstructure manufactured from cold molded wood, Alyssa’s exterior design and interior styling comes from Riza Tansu of Tanzu Yachts in conjunction with Diana Yacht Design’s contributions for naval architecture.
With a decidedly militaristic appearance, Alyssa is pushing the bar on superyacht design, allowing Tansu to stand apart from other shipbuilders. A generous beam of 7.28 meters allows this unique superyacht to accommodate eight guests in four staterooms. The owner’s suite has dual bathrooms that each incorporate large shows. The VIP cabin is set forward while two twin cabins are amidships. Crewmembers are accommodated in three cabins along with a crew mess that is positioned aft, separate seating area and other accommodations. The main deck has an informal seating area, galley and bathroom for guests. Alyssa’s wheelhouse is equipped with all equipment and instruments necessary for long-distance travel.
Twin 1900hp Caterpillar C32 diesel engines power Alyssa, enabling her to cruise at 18 knots and reach a top speed of 21 knots. She is built to RINA pleasure class specifications.
