Benetti Shipyard has released details about three of their projects in the final stages of construction: the 50 meter Vica, the 63.5 meter Project FB264 and the 56 meter Surpina.
Vica has a fiberglass hull and aluminum superstructure, the first Benetti yacht built with this hybrid technology. Generous exterior space with large decks to the bow and stern, as well as an impressive sundeck, feature prominently in her design. The exterior also has full-height windows and three removal panels that are unique to Vica. The first panel is astern for hauling in and launching the tender and the second is at the swimming platform. The third is at the lower deck to enable the lobby to be open to the outside. A retractable stair leading down to the water is reserved exclusive for the owner’s personal use.
Four cabins on the lower deck and a luxurious owner’s suite on the main deck accommodate guests. Vica has cabins that accommodate up to 12 crew members. Interiors are cost and welcoming, featuring cherry wood throughout in glossy and satin finishes with rosewood detailing. LED lights are features along and include an alabaster column lit from the inside using white point dynamic brightness controls.
Project FB264 is designed to be a home away from home, with a large saloon and several intimate living spaces. The finest materials have been used throughout the yacht with the complexity of the workmanship offsetting the simplicity of the private spaces.
The stern areas of the main and upper decks on board the Surpina are not open, but glazed with large windows that hide the main deck living area and the upper deck gym next to the owner’s suite, unlike other Benetti yachts of this size.
Accommodation is over seven guest cabins in addition to a luxurious owner’s suite. Interiors exhibit a classic Italian style with wood contrasting with white carpet and marble and include materials such as elm root paneling with mahogany, walnut and rosewood detailing. One of Surpina’s hallmarks is the period furniture requested by the owner, each piece of which has its own history. The Bessel is powered by two MTU 12V 4000M53 1340 kW engines, with a range of 5,000 nautical miles at a speed of 12 knots.
