77 Meter Superyacht Yersin Interior Revealed: The designer of the 77m superyacht Yersin, Pierre J. Kubis, has released photos that show the interior of this vessel that was crafted to safely sail the world in utmost comfort and practicality. Yersin, built by the French shipyard Piriou, is a displacement explorer yacht that can cruise the world’s coldest regions and its warmest climates.
Named in honor of Dr. Alexander Yersin (1863-1943), the vessel was inspired by Tintin, Prince Albert I’s Hirondelle and Jacques Cousteau’s Calypso. At her christening ceremony in Monaco in June, owner François Fiat, noted that he wanted a boat that could sail anywhere, in any weather, with a reinforced hull for ice. Approximately 70% of the superyacht’s space is devoted to communal and technical areas for exploration.
Natural materials such as certified woods and textured leathers appear throughout guest areas that feature contrasting warm browns and bright lacquered surfaces to create a serene and soothing atmosphere. The guest entrance to starboard on the main deck leads to the main staircase and elevator that connect the main deck to the owner’s deck, bridge deck and sundeck. Kubis characterizes the owner’s deck as the social heart of the ship, featuring an owner’s lounge, bar and media room.
