    Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show Becoming World-Class Event

    2fort-lauderdale-international-boat-showFort Lauderdale International Boat Show Becoming World-Class Event: New features for the 215 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) in November will brand the show as a world-class event, treat attendees to VIP amenities and offer entertainment to exhibitors and their guests.

    A new, easy-to-navigate and mobile-friendly website, www.flibs.com , completed with detailed maps and show information such as exhibitors, boats on display, events and seminars nearby hotels, parking and transportation and package deals, has been launched by producers of the event, Show Management. A new logo, a rectangle surround a large, stylized “FL” with “Fort Lauderdale International Boat show” in smaller letters beneath, is also introduced on the website.

    The show, scheduled Nov. 5 to 9, will feature a Blue Party on Friday night, Nov. 6, for exhibitors and their guests, in the Sailfish Pavilion at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center. The event will feature entertainment, music, fashion and a raffle to raise money for the Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center, a nonprofit center that serves children with special health care needs.

    For a $399 daily premium or $1,099 for a three-day pass, showgoers can receive VIP treatment that includes onsite valet parking, show entry and all-day access to the Windward Club, an air-conditioned VIP lounge at the International Swimming Hall of Fame that will feature gourmet food and a premium open bar. VIPs will also have access to a dedicated concierge to help schedule private show events, including reservations for yacht tours.

    Show Management has partnered with QuintEvents to provide VIP boat show experiences. The event company, known for its work at functions such as the Kentucky Derby and Super Bowl, is expected to attract high net-worth clients to the show.

    In addition to traditional seminars on sportfishing, freediving, spearfishing, paddleboarding and underwater photography, two seminars by maritime lawyer Todd Lochner will be featured.

    FLIBS will feature 1,500 boats on display, including Lürssen’s Kismet, along with 1,000 exhibitors in more than 3 million square feet of space at seven venues: Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel & Yachting Center, Hall of Fame Marina, Las Olas Municipal Marina, Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina, Sails Marina, Hyatt Regency Pier 66 Marina and the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center.
