Megayacht By Henry Ward Designs, Unique 66m Explorer Yacht Time: The 66m explorer yacht Time, designed by Henry Ward Design in collaboration with BMT Nigel Gee, is an insight into the future, expanding on current luxuries while challenging boundaries as technology expands. Time will also provide guests with abundant, unforgettable experiences.
One of Time’s most outstanding characteristics is an 18m floating lodge that is docked within the vessel’s aft end and blends in a s a fixed part of the superstructure. The lodge can be launched as a base for expeditions in shallow waters. It has an owner’s cabin, a second guest cabin and open plan galley/living/dining area. When moored, its aft section folds down for direct water access and outdoor living.
Another unique feature is an autonomous drone house in a hanger in the bow that is capable of transporting supplies or four guests. The drone has a touch screen display that automatically takes care of piloting and navigation.
The skydeck stands 15 meters above the sea and includes a special viewing platform accessed from the sundeck. The yacht’s wellness area has a gym, massage room and sauna, while the nearby bay area leads out to a terrace with hot tub and views forward over the bow.
For more adventurous guests, an inverted climbing wall on the aft face of the skydeck allows a unique splash down into the 8m swimming pool below. The swimming pool can be covered when not in use to create a larger entertainment space for alfresco dining and parties.
The beach club provides another impressive area that includes a large, protected splash pool. Time’s aft topsides can fold down to maximize available space to create 190sqm of deck around the pool. The forward end has a bar along with a toy and tender garage that houses two 8.5m tenders.
Covering seven decks, Time has a full beam owner’s suite and three VIP cabins on the main deck. Possibly the yacht’s most impressive entrance is the starboard side passerelle that leads directly into the main living area with its floor-to-ceiling windows and views aft through the glass walled swimming pool.
BMT Nigel Gee has conducted an initial feasibility study for the yacht’s naval architecture. A twin azimuthing drive system with total power of 3000kW powers her to a cruising speed of 15 knots. Her range will top 5,000 nautical miles at a speed of 12 knots.
