Broward Shipyard was a yacht-making company which was founded by Frank Denison in 1948. This Florida-based firm created its first custom yacht design, a wooden vessel known as the Stormy III, way back in 1953. Broward Shipyard was also well-known as the manufacturer of minesweeper boats during the 1950s – these wooden boat designs were crafted for usage by the United States Navy.
These days, Broward Shipyard’s legacy of quality and craftsmanship alas is no more, as this esteemed yacht-making firm that created dazzling mega-yachts for the world’s most discerning and sophisticated clientele is closed. These large-scale masterpieces range in size between sixty feet and one hundred and sixty-five feet.
The company used to produce four series of mega-yachts: Nekkid, Cetacean, and Columbus. Features of most Broward mega-yachts include multiple decks, luxury staterooms and galleys, outdoor lounging areas, high-tech and ergonomic cockpits/flybridges and captain’s cabin accommodations. Bestowed with the sleekest, cleanest lines, these elegant mega-yachts are designed to impress and they perform beautifully in a host of maritime conditions.
