With the ability to accommodate 10 guests over five large cabins and a crew of 20, Focus was designed to cater to exclusive events like weddings, performances and conferences. The yacht has capacity to stage one large event spread over three different locations or to host three separate events simultaneously.
The trapezoidal shape of the midship superstructure is a main feature of the yacht’s profile and includes a two-story 150 sqm saloon with a port and a starboard side terrace, each measuring 15 sqm. Sliding doors provide entrance to both terraces, while a fold out platform and side stairs on the starboard terraces provides direct access to the sea.
Additional features include a helipad, an 80 sqm beach saloon on the main deck aft, a 130 sqm panoramic aft deck that spans three terraces and a 60 sqm beach club. A tender garage houses two 10m tenders and other water toys. Focus will be equipped with twin MTU 20V4000 M73L engines with a top speed of 23.5 knots and a range of 5,000 nm at 15 knots.
Although Focus was developed for a prospective client, the two design firms decided to continue with work on the vessel even though the client was unable to continue with the project when first concept renders were presented in January 2015. Conflicting elements were dropped and a new, broader vision was found for the yacht.
