78m Slipstream Superyacht Concept Revealed by Nauta Design: Nauta Design has unveiled a new 78-meter superyacht concept called slipstream. Featuring a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure, Slipstream’s exhibits the studio’s well0known design characteristics that include light-filled interiors, close contact to the water and a strong inside-outside connection.
The clean and uncluttered exterior also features extensive glass. One standout feature, dubbed “the island,” is the vessel’s beach club. Fold down bulwarks and walkways expand the area into a 280-square-meter terrace. The beach club also features a bar and underwater viewing lounge as well as a seawater swimming pool integrated into the platform. When not in use, the pool’s teak bottom closes flush with the deck.
Accommodation is for 12 guests, with the upper deck devoted solely to the owner. The owner’s deck includes direct access to the helipad and a private foredeck with a Jacuzzi pool and “infinity next.” A king-size bed, private saloon and full-height glass windows characterize the master suite. Crew accommodation is for a staff of 23.
Slipstream has storage for toys and tenders, including a touch-and-go helipad, space for a 10-meter limousine tender, a nine-meter RIB, two rescue tenders and toys such as Jetski, Seabobs, kayaks, bikes, quadbikes, kite surfs and windsurfs.
A hybrid diesel-electric engine will power the superyacht to a top speed of 17 knots and a range of more than 5,000 nautical miles as 12 knots.
