Amels Delivers Mega Yacht Lili
The owner chose interior designer Laura Sessa to create a luxurious custom interior that transcends the portal of travel into a home on the ocean. The functionality of every space on board this 707GT mega yacht is a key design focus as the yacht strikes a balance between luxury and usage.
The owner worked with the Amels design team to develop a unique color scheme, described as Castle Tan, and exterior designer Tim Heywood for a dramatic exterior vision. She is built from a steel hull and aluminum superstructure to Lloyd’s Registry standards and MCA compliance.
Six staterooms accommodate 12 guests with an owner’s cabin on the bridge deck, three doubles and two twin cabins below decks. Crew quarters accommodate 12.
Lili is much different from previous Amels superyachts, according to Amels Commercial Director Rose Damen, even though she shares the manufacturer’s high value qualities and finish. Key customized features include many folding balconies and a private aft deck access from the owner’s suite. The most notable feature is the sundeck that has been extended by three meters to provide 175 square meters of deck space that houses a four-meter countercurrent swimming pool.
A pair of 1,308hp MTU 200M70 diesel engines provides a top speed of 15.5 knots. At 13 knots, Lili has a maximum cruising range of 4,500 nautical miles.
Following her delivery, Lili headed to Norway for her first charter voyage and will spend the winter cruising the Indian Ocean near Thailand.
