AvA Yachts Expands Kando Superyacht Series: Turkish shipyard AvaYachts has announced the latest model in its Kando Series. Currently in build, the 34-meter Kando 110 will launch sometime this summer.
The aluminum over steel tri-deck displacement yacht sits clearly in the middle of the Kando line, with yachts ranging from 27 meters to 40 meters. With five guest cabins, including a maser suite of 27 square meters of private space, naval architect Atilla Kucukdiker designed modern interior features of American walnut, wenge and stainless steel. She will have a top speed of 14 knots and will make her debut at Cannes in September after delivery to her Norwegian owner.
Completing the series is the smaller Kando 90 and the larger Kando 120 to 36.5 meters, and the Kano 130, all of which have received significant interest from Potential owners. The Kando series was developed by the Antalya-based yard to spend extended periods at sea, and thus places an emphasis on large internal volumes.
AvA Yachts wanted to develop this range because it saw that size range as under-represented in the market with few contemporary, full displacement, steel-hulled yachts with large volume and long cruising ranges. The builder is able to offer a superlative product in a fast delivery timeframe and prices that are more attractive than anything from Italy or the Netherlands.
A modern look characterizes the line, with all yachts sharing floor-to-ceiling windows and strong masculine lines. They are built with steel hulls and aluminum superstructures with a bulbous bow for efficiency. The yard also produces such of the fit out in-house, including stainless steel fittings and interior cabinetry.
Accommodation is for 12 guests and includes an owner’s suite on the bridge deck amidships. It is access via a private staircase and split over two decks and includes a raised private terrace forward. Four additional cabins are located forward on the lower deck.
