Bering Yachts Reveals New 40m Megayacht: The Bering 130, the latest offering from Bering Yachts, extends the shipyard’s fleet  with the unveiling of this 40m expedition megayacht, which the yard has calling its flagship. Bering primarily constructs semi-custom yachts between 15m and 24 m, but has begun to place more emphasis on megayachts 30m and above.

Demand is high in the exploration market, with almost every other yacht having global cruising capabilities, a characteristic that Bering has focused on since its establishment in 2007.

The Bering 130 was design by Sabdes Yacht Design of Australia with naval architecture carried out in Russia. She has lines typical of an exploration yacht, simplistic and intrinsically function. Aesthetically, the yacht is well balanced, with inspiration coming from modern North Sea commercial ships that are highly regarded by Scandinavian naval architectural standards.

Fuel capacity is an astonishing 17,000 gallons, meaning the Bering 130 can travel well over 6,000 nautical miles. She can accommodate 10 guests across one master suite and four staterooms, all of which have queen beads and en-suite heads. The superyacht also has a fully equipped gym and massage room.

All equipment, parts and materials for the build process will be shipped from the United States to Bering’s shipyard in Antalya, Turkey, or to Zhangjiang, China. Bering notes that this international approach will provide the best price-to-quality ratio as these locations provide the right combination of marine industry expertise and favorable labor rates. These factors allow Bering to provide high quality at a competitive price.
