Cantiere delle Marche Launches Mega Yacht Galego
Galego is constructed from steel and aluminum and is the third vessel in the Darwin Line 102 explorer yacht series that Italian studio Hydro Tec has designed and engineered.
CdM has successfully delivered four superyachts since entering the market in 2015, including Acala, Babbo, Storm and Galego. With a gross tonnage of 244, mega yacht Galego has been specifically designed and re-proportioned in height to exceed the standards of Darwin Class explorer yachts. On board, her interior height allowances were increased to 2.18 meters, leading to the repositioning of all doors and windows.
Pierluigi Floris, the design management firm responsible for interior design, is described as “warm and welcoming,” with walnut tones and leather covered walls. The brief for the project stated that the vessel should be classically styled with modern touches.
Galego made her maiden voyage to Greece, followed by a visit to Turkey where the owner will remain on board until the end of the summer season.
