Ferretti Group Launches First Mega Yacht Hull in the Ferretti 920 Range
Key features include a raised bow that allows for a wider main deck owner’s cabin while also adding to the yacht’s imposing and aggressive appearance on the water. Ferretti also notes that the foredeck seating area on the 920 is the largest it has ever created for a yacht of this size, encompassing two sofas, a coffee table and removable sunshades. The swim platform is fitted with a submersible hatch to allow for easier tender launches and creates a beach club when the tender is deployed.
Owners will have their choice of two layouts and either a chaise lounge or a sofa in the cockpit. The flexible sundeck has freestanding furniture and a choice of convertible Bimini options, from variable louvers to tinted glass.
Interior design is similar to the recently launched Ferretti 850 series, with recessed ceiling light and panoramic window to create the impression of a floating penthouse. A choice of two lower-deck layouts will accommodate eight to 10 guests, while crew quarters will accommodate five.
A pair of MTU diesel engines will power the Ferretti 920. Owners who choose the powerful 2,435hp set-up will enjoy a top speed of 30 knots. Zero-speed fins stabilizers or a Seakeeper stabilization system are options.
Ferretti officials indicated that the second Ferretti 920 is being constructed for the American market and will make her debut at the 2018 Miami Beach Yacht show, while the third hull in the series will head to Asia.
