Hakvoort Delivers Megayacht Soprano
Soprano’s classic look was inspired by previous Hakvoort yachts Sagamar V and Spada, as requested by her owner, who wanted a medium-sized yacht, something for which Hakvoort is renowned. Hakvoort director Albert Hakvoort Jr. noted that Soprano is a “real gentleman’s yacht,” blending the timeless beauty of the company’s maritime tradition with modern touches. She provides excellent performance at sea, is exceptionally quiet and superbly finished.
The interior layout was designed with chartering in mind. She has two large guest cabins and a full-beam VIP suite on the lower deck and a grand master stateroom on the main deck. Soprano’s interior exhibits a strong classic character with contemporary accents. Rich stained mahogany panels with wood panels painted in while lacquer above the wainscot exemplify the look.
A large swimming platform four meters deep and 2.5 meters high is made possible by the placement of the engine room amidships.
Another unique feature is the impressive crew area built to LY3 regulations, which is an impressive feat for a boat of this size. The crew has a lot more space and is even more generous that what is normally found on much larger yachts. The owners asked for LY3 certification from the outset as they realized that a happy crew means a happy boat.
