Hatteras 90 Mega Yacht and HattCON Coming This Summer: Hatteras Yachts, will expand its semi-custom range this summer with the debut of the Hatteras 90 Megayacht. The new model will also mark the debut of the HattCON ship-management system, which offers systems integration typically found on larger megayachts.
The Hatters 90 will be available with either an open or enclosed flying bridge. Eight guests may be housed below decks. The crew area, aft of the engine room, has separate access. The yacht has two dedicated entrances, one via the transom, while the other is through an aft-deck door.
With guests accommodate below decks, the Hatteras 90 has more main deck space for socializing. The model has two different configurations, as well, for the main deck. The first, more traditional layout has the saloon and dining area aft, with the galley forward. Alternately, you can have the galley amidships and dining aft, which shifts the saloon forward, making it more private. Fold-down balconies, accessed via sliding glass doors, are optional.
Options are numerous in outdoor areas as the Hatteras 90 has a flexible foredeck layout. One option has a sunpad with accompanying settee and cocktail table. Everyone can dine together and enjoy cocktails from a nearby bar on the flying bridge. The enclosed-bridge version has the helm naturally inside, while the open-bridge version has a shaded hardtop.
HattCON integrates operational and comfort-related systems. Touchscreens at the helm display pertinent information, which includes everything from genset status and tank-level displays to navigation and engine data. HattCON also has a dashboard control for use in rough seas.
Additional HattCON displays are in the galley and crew’s quarters. Smaller, auto-dimming touchscreens are located in staterooms and other guests areas to give you control over lighting and room temperature. The system can also let you operate window blinds. HattCON comes with an iPhone-and iPad-compatible app for additional convenience.
