Omaha blends familiar Heesen styling with sporty looks borrowed from the automobile industry, most notably the fashion-plate grills flanking the aft main deck, which resemble the famous Fisker whiskers, created by auto designer Henrik Fisker. Clifford Denn Design is responsible for the overall design of the series, which replaced the smaller 47M Steel Series.
Omaha began construction on spec as Project Maia, but the overall aesthetic attracted her owners. As she was sold last December, the owners had enough time to tailor the mega yacht to their liking. Outside there is a gray paint scheme, while inside, Reymond Langton Design interpreted their requests for bleached oak and stained walnut for paneling and other surfaces, along with complementary tones of leather and fabrics.
Not everything onboard Omaha is neutral as some of the furnishings and the artwork are in bolder colors. The décor scheme spans the relaxation areas and staterooms, which include a main deck master suite and four guest cabins below.
Omaha is engineered for a 3,800nm range at 12 knots with MTU diesel engines. On sea trials, the mega yacht topped her 15-knot contractual speed by one knot. Conditions for her sea trials saw calm to moderate seas.
