Heesen Opens New Megayacht Construction Shed: Dutch shipbuilder Heesen has announced the completion and opening of its new megayacht shed that will double the shipbuilder’s capacity to producer megayachts in the 65m to 82m range, one that has become increasing important to Heesen’s ambitions following the launch of the 70m M/Y Galactica Super Nova megayacht earlier in 2016.

Heesen officials believe that the market has moved up to the 50 m to 60 m range for its core. In addition, the company has also received more requests for yachts ranging from 65m to 80m. The new shed will allow Heesen to build two 70 m megayachts simultaneously.
