Inspired by the success of the MCY 105, the MCY 96 is also enjoying success as the first three hulls already had buyers when the model was announced last January. As with the 105, the MCY 96 has interior and exterior design by Nuvolari-Lenard, which includes circular ports below decks, including overlapping ones, which re a signature styling element.
True to her model name, the yacht measures 96 feet (29.26 meters) in length. Siding glass doors flank the main deck dining area to make the 22’8” (6.94 meter) beam feel even more open. The master stateroom takes advantage of its main deck location with a large skylight. The signature circular ports add a special ambiance to the VIP stateroom below.
As a semi-custom series, each MCY 96 allows owners to tailor the interior. Six different configurations are available for cabins, while a total of four guest staterooms sit below decks. Buyers can also request different classifications. RINA Pleasure and RINA Charter Class are available, or buyers can request that the yacht meets MCA’s requirement for MGN 280, which governs small yachts offered for charter.
Sea trials anticipate a 27-knot top speed and a 24-knot cruising speed. Two engine packages, including a standard twin 2,200-hp MTUs and twin 1,900-hp MANs.
The MCY 96 will appear at both the Cannes Yachting Festival and Monaco Yacht Show in September.
