Megayacht Builer CRN Completes First Refit: CRN, part of the Ferretti Group, has completed its first refit with delivery of the newly restyling 46m luxury yacht Eight. The refit involved most of the interiors and a general restyling of the superyacht, as well as maintenance and upgrading of technical systems and appliances. The new design makes use of natural light, wood, fine-quality leather and other bespoke materials.

Launched in 2005, the refit of Eight represents an accomplishment for CRN as the Ancona, Italy, shipyard embarks on its new refit division.  Designed by CRN’s engineering department in collaboration with Nuvolari Lenard for the exteriors and Solido Interiors, the vessel is spread over four decks, offering accommodation in a master stateroom and five VIP suits, hosting up to 12 guests and a crew of eight.

Eight’s sleek lines stand out even more than with her original profile, as her golden stripes were replaced with a dark blue hull and white superstructure. She also features vaster event space and a refined elegance and polished simplicity. The owner requested an open space that would still ensure privacy thanks to shading technologies that create dedicated areas.
The deck area after of the main saloon is a comfortable leisure area with dark sofas and a coffee table. A glazed sliding door takes guests into the main saloon with its inviting and cozy ambience. Three large sofas encircle an elegant carpet and two large coffee tables. A double-face Samsung 78” conceling television divides the living area from the large rounding dining table that seats up to 10. All windows have been enlarge to allow plenty of natural light and highly the walnut on the walls contrasting with the cream-colored furniture.

Situated on the main deck at the bow, a private business area precedes the master cabin that has soft colors throughout, ranging from hazelnut brown to cream. The bathroom also features a skillful play of colors, interspersing warm oak and dark mottled stone with the brighter touch of the hydro massage and chromotherapy.

An elegant staircase with leather-lined steps leads to the lower deck guest area and crew quarters. An additional cabin occupies the former fitness area, bringing total accommodation on this level to 1 full-beam VIP suite aft, two guest cabins in the central area and another full-beam VIP suite located forward.

The aft upper deck has a wide sky lounge with two comfortable sofas, making it an ideal area to enjoy dinner thanks to a large rectangular table. The indoor saloon incorporates considerable enlargement of the windows to let in more light and allow breathtaking views of the sea.

An external staircase takes visitors to the sundeck that features a round, polished teak table with eight chairs. This deck also features two large sunbathing areas and two awnings. The second sunbathing area at the bow had more extensive refitting that includes a Teuco hydro massage tub. The entire sundeck is protected by handrails with steel and glass uprights. A removable carbon mast has replaced navigation lights that were previously installed on the forward structure.
