Monaco Yacht Show Has New Supercar/Luxury Car Deck Park: Every year, the spectacular event known as the Monaco Yacht Show gets bigger and bigger, and this year’s edition is no exception. The 26th annual Monaco Yacht show, opening September 28 and running through October 1, has several notable additions to its program, particular the Car Deck, a prestigious auto exhibition zone that will feature 10 stunning super vehicles.

As in past years, over 120 superyachts will be on display at Port Hercules in the Principality of Monaco, some of which will be available for sail or for future charter. More than 580 marine-related companies will also be present at the show to exhibit yachts, tenders, water toys and other goods and services related to the industry.

Because of recent terror-related events in Europe, MYS officials have identified 15 possible points of entry and access. Visitors can expect more stringent security measures, with agents performing visual checks of all bags and requesting those with jackets to open them before being admitted to the show.

This year’s launching of Car Deck at MYS reflect the desire of major luxury automobile brands to have a decided presence at the event. Many have indirectly participated in the past by chauffeuring VIP visitors and private clients of exhibiting companies. Car Deck meets the needs of yachting companies by attracting additional clientele on the quays of the marina.

MYS show hours are 10:30 a.m.  to 6 p.m.  Daily passes are €150 per person.

Beyond the show itself, Monaco offers a wealth to see and do as one of the world’s indisputable luxury capitals. Visit the famous Cercle d’Or for the most elegant shops filled with prestigious brands and goods. The Metropole shopping center, the Allees Lumieres or the Fontvielle Shopping Centre are also good choices.
