According to Westport’s Alex Rogers, styling came from the new 112 model. The builder introduced larger portholes in the hull, along with a bigger window line in the main deck. Air induction into the engine room has been moved to the outside to deliver less noise when guests are outside on the main deck or the flybridge.
Ron Nugent, also of Westport, noted that over time the builder has received requests asking for updated style, so Westport put together a new look for the 112 with the help of an experienced owner. The hull is the same size as it was previously while still following Westport’s house style. The predictability of the boat also remains unchanged. The first model will be Hull Number 60 and will be on display at FLIBS in 2018.
Westport configured the flybridge layout in a manner that will give owners options for bar location and seating, which can be raised when sitting so that guests can look outside rather than at the inside of the flybridge. The saloon door is now curved, which changes the aft bulkhead as well as the aft deck bar setup, which has increased in size for extra storage. The interior will also have a more contemporary line.
