New Superyacht Rendering of 109m Lürssen Project Icecap: A new rendering of the 109-meter superyacht Project Icecap currently in build at Lürssen Shipyard in Germany shows noticeably different details from the initial image released earlier this year. Notable features on the five-deck motor yacht with a blue hull include an aft deck helipad and an inverted bow that hints at polar cruising capability, which is reinforced by the project’s name.
Superyacht Project Icecap will have an total interior volume of more than 6,500GT and be built from steel with a projected launch in 2021. The yacht’s existence first came to light in the 2018 Global Order Book.
Few details are available, but Project Icecap will reportedly feature state-of-the-art energy saving, power storage, heating and cooling systems, with an interior that will offer luxurious accommodation for up to 20 guests across 10 cabins. She will be powered by a diesel-electric propulsion system. Superyacht Project Icecap’s asking price has been withheld.
