Oceanco Project Director Roderick Gort described DreAMBoat’s launch is a “milestone in the construction process of delivering the ‘Owner’s Perfect Yacht.’”
With a massive volume of 2950 GT on a beam of 14.2 meters, the superyacht allows ample space for up to 23 guests and generous crew’s quarters to accommodate 33 staff. Large overhangs from the superstructure and cutouts in the bulwarks create a classic and strong appearance. Øino, responsible for the exterior design, describe the yacht’s overall effect as clean and uncluttered lines with a coherent design.
Large windows that flood the interior with natural light and offer excellent views are an emphasis of the design. The exterior features a large swimming pool on the main deck, an enormous sundeck with a Jacuzzi that is partially enclosed and many options for seating and entertaining. A second, private Jacuzzi is on the owner’s deck.
Disdale has created an interior that is sophisticated and serene, incorporating bespoke surfaces that include parchment, leather and mother of pearl, natural wood, limestone floors and semi-precious stone vanities. The overall effect is chic but not overdone.
State-of-the-art technology is featured throughout the superyacht and includes a complex computer operating system and a full carbon copy mast house and mast that form an integral part of the overall design. A pair of MTU 4828 engines powers the vessel. DreAMBoat is currently being commissioned for upcoming sea trials.
The project is Oceanco’s 33rd vessel launch in it 33 year history. Several additional enormous projects are currently under construction at Oceanco, including the 109-meter Y720, the 125-meter Y721, both due in 2021. The 117-meter Y719, also known as Project Acquaintance, is due next year.
