Oceanco Reveals New 120m Resort Superyacht Concept Amara
As a shipyard, Oceanco has been extremely active in investing in new superyacht concepts that push the boundaries of design. Sorgiovanni noted that in designing Amara’s exterior line, he wanted to portray a very strong and muscular form that was not only progressive in design but also timeless in appeal. Its long bow accentuates the vessel’s generous proportions, while the interior and exterior design work in harmony to create a holistic feeling of a relaxed and well-appointed resort.
Amara’s inverted bow gives it an interesting profile, only seen one previous on the 107m Stiletto. This concept has lines that are far more fluid and curvaceous than her Oceanco predecessors, adding to the shipyard’s portfolio.
The contemporary interior has natural tones and light timbers, emphasizing the resort styling, which plenty of wide-open spaces and natural light. The main deck features a pool bar, open balconies and large entertainment areas, while the sun deck has an open-air cinema.
The lower deck opens to reveal a large beach club with three-way access to the sea, also with natural and light styling. A large wellness area and an additional cinema area can host up to 16 guests. Sorgiovanni has also incorporated a substantial waterfall that cascades into the main deck swimming pool. The yacht also has plenty of storage for all kinds of tenders and toys such as climbing walls and water slides.
On the upper deck, the expansive owner’s suite features a private plunge pool and an al fresco dining area for more than 20 on the aft deck.
