Peters & May has instituted a new yacht transport route, departing from Antwerp, Belgium, traveling via Southampton, England, to Australia’s eastern coast. This initial trip, expected to reach Sydney and Brisbane in 35 to 45 days, will be followed by Italian departures from Palma and Genoa in mid-September, Newport and Fort Lauderdale at the beginning of October and Singapore in mid-October.
Initial returns will begin in mid-January 2015, departing for West Palm Beach. Aurora Global Logistics, Peters and May’s Australian agent, will manage most of the routes, while the American route will be managed from the new Peters and May Fort Lauderdale office.
Robert May, the transport company’s global sales and marketing director noted that his firm has seen a significant increase in inquiries for these routes over the past year. Peters and May expects that its experience in moving a variety of yachts will result in annual success for the company, Aurora and their clients.
Aurora Marketing Director Jason Roberts noted that his firm is excited that it has the ability to offer the Australian market a high-level, partial charter option, as few yacht transport services are available for yacht owners, dealers and commercial craft between Australia, Europe and the United States.
