The move isn’t surprising as US-based DeepFlight announced at last year’s Monaco Yacht Show that it had partnered with Shanghai-based Rainbowfish Ocean Technology to create DeepFlight Adventures, a company that works with luxury resorts to offer submarine excursions at locations around the world. The first DeepFlights adventures will open in the Maldives later this year in conjunction with its local operating partner, Lean Group.
DeepFlight craft are also available for purchase. In addition to the Dragon, available models include the DeepFlight Super Falcon 3S and the Deepflight Super Falcon. All are environmentally friendly, producing zero emissions. They are built to ensure that the craft never land on a reef or the bottom of the ocean floor. The Dragon, the smallest and lightest two-person submarine on the market, is designed specifically for easy operation from yachts.
Regarding the Princess 40M, Princess Yachts states that the yacht is the perfect platform to ensure an easy recovery subsequent launch of a submarine from a tender garage. The Lloyd’s certified Dragon personal submarine enhances the yachting experience for Princess owners and guests who desire the ultimate underwater experience.
