Roberto Cavalli Designs His Own 27m Mega Yacht: Famous Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli has played a part in designing his own 27-meter mega yacht named Freedom, now under construction at Cerri Cantieri Navali in Carara, Italy. Cavalli worked with Tommaso Spadolini on the design of the yacht that is expected to reach a top speed of 40 knots thanks to three water-jet engines. She is on schedule for delivery in the summer of 2018.

The exterior and interior is reportedly a reflection of the owner’s stylish and vibrant personality and aims to deliver a close connection to the sea while also providing enough privacy for her owner.

Freedom’s unique layout will house the master suite aft of the helm and will receive most of its light through a large skylight. The master suite will lead out onto the aft deck cockpit. Two guest cabins and comfortable crew quarters will be located on the lower deck.

Above the main deck, a comfortable flybridge will be sheltered from wind and the elements by yacht’s superstructure. The foredeck will house a tender for easy launching and retrieval without disturbing guests on the aft deck.
