Rossinavi and Federico Fiorentino Reveal New 55m Mega Yacht Project: Rossinavi has unveiled a new 55-meter megayacht project in collaboration with Italian designer Federico Fiorentino. Zephyr 55 is based on the fast displacement hull form (FDHF) developed by Van Oossanen Navel Architect and inspired by the muscle cars from the ‘50s and ‘60s.

The flexibility of this design will allow it to be used as a high-performance mega yacht capable of reaching up to 32 knots in speed, as well as a day boat for island hopping, thanks to a shallow 2-meter draft. Zephyr 55 also has a vast 300sqm exterior beach area on the after deck and an elevated sunbathing area. The yacht’s extensive exterior space results in areas by the aft pool not becoming cramped, leaving sufficient space for a seating area.

Despite being inspired by the bodywork of classic muscle and sports cars, the yacht’s design is futuristic with a rounded bow, forward lines and grill-like detailing. The open design has been brought inside through the work of Pisa-based studio Pulina. Many transparent or reflective surfaces will be used to create a bright ad uncluttered feel, adding to the futuristic element.
