Superyacht Builder Rosetti Marino Teams With Rolls Royce for 85m Concept
Tommaso Spadolini designed the expedition-style vessel, which the designer calls the “most authentic yacht,” that he has designed in his 40-year career. The superyacht accommodates guests across four double cabins on the main deck. A private deck houses a full beam owner’s suite and includes a lounge, study and access to an open foredeck with a pool. Another salon aft serves as a media room and/or sky lounge.
The concept is available in two versions, both with a fully certified helipad located either amidships or aft. Both configurations are 2.200GT. With minimal modifications, the spacious salon under the helipad can be replaced with a dedicated helicopter hangar. Spadolini noted that the five-deck layout makes optimal use of the interior volume of the forward superstructure.
Another key consideration was tha the project had to be built following design-to-market and design-to-service criteria. It also had to meet technical criteria required for unrestricted navigation.
Rolls Royce Marine naval architects in Norway developed the hull form for optimal efficiency and seaworthiness. She is powered by four MTU 16V 4000 engines providing her with a top speed of 20 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots.
