Superyacht Marina, Deep Harbour at Island Gardens Marina Set to Open in December: Scheduled for completion in December 2015, the Deep Harbour at Island Gardens in Miami will become North America’s only Marine designed exclusively for superyachts. The marina, designed by the Flagstone Property Group, is destined to become one of the most exclusive deep water marinas in the world as it will benefit from the deep waters of a nearby cruise ship terminal that accommodates large cruise ships and is not subject to tidal restrictions for access.

When completed, Deep Harbour at Island Gardens will have 5,000 linear feet of capacity to accommodate an average of 50 yachts up to 550 feet with drafts of 18 to 25 feet deep. Because most marinas in Florida do not offer facilities for sailing mega yachts and superyachts over 150 feet in length, the marina is expected to have high occupancy rates shortly after opening. The number of berths for luxury yachts over 80 feet has long been in short supply in South Florida.

Deep Harbour will have a marina lounge ad restaurant and full-services amenities tht incude in-slip fueling and customs and immigration clearance to guests and residents arriving from international destinations. It will also be the future home of Superyacht Miami, a new show designed exclusive for superyachts. The development will also feature world-class retail and restaurants, hotels, high-end shopping and a water taxi service. Upland construction is scheduled for completion late in the 2017-2018 season.
