Superyachts are Now Part of the Neiman-Marcus Christmas Catalogue: One could expect that it would only be a matter of time, but the world of superyachts is now part of the Neiman-Marcus Christmas catalogue. Serenity Yachts, based at Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands, will build this exclusive, one-of-a-kind superyacht. Once built, the 74-foot yacht will become the largest solar-powered yacht in the world.
The superyacht interior is inspired by Neiman-Marcus Fashion Director Ken Dowling and includes three levels, a full kitchen and four cabins that can accommodate up to 12 people. It will also feature ore than 1,100 square feet of solar panels. Its electric engines will provide speeds of up to 20 knots and cruising speeds of 6 to 8 knots. When diesel power is applied, cruising speed can climb to 10 to 12 knots. Nieman-Marcus will also include a shopping spree with this page that is priced at $7.1 million.
Serenity Yachts currently offers a model called the Serenity 64 on which the Neiman Marcus offering appears to be based. Built as a light displacement vessel, it has an LOA of 64 feet and a draft of 3.6 feet.
