Turkish Builder Numarine Launches 32XP Explorer Megayacht
Malaz admitted that producing the XP32 may seem contradictory to the shipbuilder’s original idea of building fast concept yachts. Many clients had moved from fast planning hull yachts to displacement speech yachts with unmatched efficiency. Numarine decided to improve on that idea by promoting on board comfort and reducing noise and vibration as much as possible.
Dutch company Silent Line Group and naval architect Umberto Tagliavini collaborated on the 32XP to minimize noise and vibration levels while offering the comfort of a much larger superyacht in this 32.5-meter vessel.
The construction brief also called for tremendous volume, which the 32XP has with almost 300 gross tons of internal space. Key features include a main deck gym and upper deck storage space to show a nine-meter RIB and two Jet Skis.
With a range of 3,000 nautical miles at nine knots, the XP32 will allow her owners to go virtually anywhere in the world. A pair of 715hp CAT C18 engines allow for a top speed of 14 knots. The superyacht features a composite superstructure and steel hull.
Accommodation for 12 guests includes a full-width owner’s cabin, an upper-deck VIP cabin and four cabins on the lower deck. Three crew cabins provide for a staff of five.
Numarine’s explorer range includes the smaller 24XP, sold in May 2016. This 25.2-meter explorer yacht offers similar adventurous features but in a scaled-down size.
