Feadship Launches 73m Megayacht Hasna: Dutch shipbuilder Feadship has launched the 73m mega yacht formerly known as Hull 813 from its facility on Kaag Island. Christened Hansa, the megayacht was designed by British studio RWD for her experienced Australian owner.
From the beginning, RWD had to design this yacht with an 11.9m beam that would suit the lifestyle of the owner’s family as well as to provide accommodation for 12 guests across six cabins.. To achieve this, the studio focused on creating spacious, uncluttered and easily navigable. One example is the sundeck, which complemented the inter section’s sliding doors ajar, becomes an entertainment area that is 25m long complete with barbecue, Jacuzzi and sun pads.
The idea behind Hasna was to create a timeless exterior profile with lots of subtle detailed, many of which are inspired by an automotive aesthetic. Hasna has an understated elegance interrupted by features such as a giant swimming pool on the aft deck, an infinity waterfall and curved glass sections.
The location of the lower deck guest cabins in relation to the engine room is one of Hasna’s unique features. To offer guests direct access to many of the vessel’s features, the engine room has been moved forward. Another innovation is the beach deck, which opens up on either side via large doors.
The idea behind the unique layout is evident as you step onto the main deck and sees the deep, sloping swimming pool that is 8m long. In addition, the main deck also includes a cinema. all of which work in harmony with exterior living spaces through their natural palettes that have opulent and artful materials which make them stand out.
Other key features include a dedicated relaxation space, gym and a central sky lounge that can be air conditioned or opened to the elements as required.
Hasna’s owner requested that crew accommodations and leisure areas would be larger than industry standard on board to be in keeping with the family nature of the vessel. Hasna is even finished with a separate butler’s cabin on board.
RWD also designed Hasna’s custom tenders, which were built in Australia by Vikal. The limousine tender was styled to match the mothership, with stitched upholstery and subtle lighting.
The owner ultimately chose Feadship for his first large build on the conviction that quality and value for the money are paramount.
Hasna is powered by a pair of 1,850hp MTu 12V4000 M53 engines that can deliver a top speed of 16 knots and a maximum cruising range of 5,500 nautical miles as 12 knots.
