Eurocraft and Marimecs Reveal Megayacht Manta Series Explorer Line: Italian shipyard Eurocraft has collaborated with Dutch naval architecture firm Marimecs to develop a range of 30 to 65 meter megayacht concepts called the Manta Series. These long-range displacement yachts would be built from a round-bilged steel hull and aluminum superstructure to Lloyd’s Registry standards with an emphasis on excellent seakeeping, low fuel consumption and quiet operation.
Willem Stolk of Marimecs noted that explorer megayacht design has always been one of the firm’s favorite fields and that this design series is based on decades or practical and artistic experience.
The Manta 65 is the largest model in the range, featuring a total interior volume of 1,630GT. A large aft deck is ideal for tender storage and has plenty of room for loading water toys via a davit crane.
External relaxation options abound and include a pair of sun-loungers on the owner’s deck aft, an alfresco dining area on the bridge deck and a spa pool on the sundeck.
The Manta 65 can accommodate 12 guests among six cabins. Four doubles are on the lower deck, a VIP suite forward on the main deck and an upper deck owner’s cabin.
An indoor dining area on the main deck with space for all 12 guests around a rectangular dining table is another key feature. The adjacent galley allows for quick, discreet service.
A pair of 2,011hp engines will provide a top speed of 16 knots and a maximum cruising range of 5,000 nm at 13 knots. Total fuel capacity is 185,000 liters.
