Hundreds of boats, ranging from 8-foot inflatables, personal watercraft and bowriders to fishing boats, high performance racing boats and schooners, all the way up to superyachts over 150 feet in length will be on display thanks to a strong suite of exhibitors.
New for 2015 will be basic and advanced hands-on skill training seminars ranging from one to three hours in length, taught by United States Coast Guard licensed captions who are also certified instructors from the Powerboat Academy of Florida. Topics include Powerboating Made Easy, Open Water Boat Handling and Seamanship, Basic Close Quarters Maneuvering Skills and more. Advanced registration is recommended as space is limited. Boat show admission is included with advance registration.
The show will also feature Nautical Ventures’ Aqua Zone, an attraction that will feature live demos ranging on paddle boarding, Hobie Kayaks, hovercrafts, WaveJet self-propelled SUP and much more, all with a 25-foot-by-50-foot tented pool. Take the kids to free fishing clinics on Saturday and Sunday at Noon and 2 p.m. in the Amphitheater Field. The clinics, open to all kids between the ages of 4 and 16, will teach basic fishing techniques such as casting a rod and feel, how to fight a fish, selecting tackle and lure and fishing ethics.
Palm Beach International Boat Show will open at Noon on Thursday, March 26 and run until 7 p.m. Show times on Friday and Saturday are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults at the gate or $18 online (http://www.showmanagement.com/palm-beach-boat-show/event/).
