YXXI Yacht Design Reveals Home From Home Concept: Called Project #6, the new concept from YXXXI Yacht Design is a family-size and family-friendly vessel with the intent of feeling like a floating home. At 90.5 meter, she’ll be able to accommodate 18 guests and 27 crew.
Her size alone makes her a floating mansion, however, maximizing the interior and exterior space was the main design challenge for YXXI. Open and airy rooms provide continuity between indoors and outdoors.
Project #6 emphasizes safety due to the yacht’s family-friendly design, featuring one-meter high fences encircling all decks to minimize risk to children. The upper rear and water–level aft platforms are the only exceptions, where temporary barriers can be easily installed.
The concept also includes pioneering technology, with windows constructed from electrochromic glass that owners can set to tint automatically or manually depending on sunlight the desired visibility. An elevator access all decks, while the interior arrangements are expected to offer flexibility to accommodate guest needs.
A spacious fitness room, whose wide doors can be opened to enjoy sea breezes is located on the upper deck. A helistation is at the rear of this deck, allowing for quick and safe connections wherever the vessel said. When not in use, the helistation becomes a basketball court with retracting netting.
On the main deck, guests will find the owner’s suite two VIP suites and the upper living room, which opens onto a main terrace with a spa and swimming pool. Other outdoor amenities include a sunbathing are and lounge sofa with a central fireplace in the bow.
The lower deck has three difference levels for service, private and communal activities. An anchor room and tender garage with folding hull doors for easy docking and water toy management are located here. Guest rooms are also located on this level, which may be configured into four larger or six slightly smaller suites. Guests also have access to a lounge-living room with glass walls that may be opened to the outdoors.
Design on this deck is also intriguing as it incorporates a glass-paneled steel structure with a floating mounting in the deck above. Six vertical pillars increase this structure’s stability.
